Dr. Arnold Robbins (Interview featured on A Man's World, March 8, 2005)

Dr. Arnold Robbins, M.D. has an active teaching, administrative & clinical practice in clinical psychiatry serving as Chairman of the Massachusetts Medical Society Public Health Committee as well as current Chair of the Men’s Health Committee. He is also associate professor at both Tufts and Boston University Medical Schools. A thoroughly engaging and humane — as well as entertaining (!) — expert on men’s health & societal issues, you’ll be amazed as Dr. Robbins reports on the state of men’s health and disease today. Arnold touches on how much of boys’ “differences” are being addressed by the health establishment today.

  • How much are boys paying for the “fatherless boys” epidemic?
  • How destructive are family roles, “life scripts” and the “male as tough” attitude still prevalent today?
  • Why is it that females have hundreds of governmental agencies, departments and bureaus dedicated to female issues while males have but a few dozen?
  • What are some other just outrageous inequities and inequalities officially maintained by both the government and our cultural imperatives?
