Jack Reed
(Interview
featured on A Man's World, February
7,
2006)
Jack
Reed is a man who genuinely cares about the planet — as a whole,
not just the separate aspects of it. He has the courage
to stand up and say what is becoming increasingly obvious yet is
industriously being ignored: that our planet is in serious trouble,
we are the cause of it and we can fix it.
Jack has spent nearly 3 decades studying, examining, considering
and experimenting with ways to make this planet a better place;
not just for the powerful few, but for everyone. Jack’s studies
have taken him far beyond the theoretical; for 15 years he lived
in an urban cooperative community, where he took on various aspects
of the active leadership. With this hands-on experience, he, as
part of the visionary Community Planet group, developed a concept
of Community that is generations apart from the commonly accepted
process where individual power so often drives the outcome.
Tune in and be amazed to learn of;
- Establishing
revolutionary new Communities we'll all want to inhabit.
How to create
environmentally sustainable communities where our social, cultural,
political, economic, educational, energy and
food goals will be coordinated for everyone's benefit ... and positive
consensus will replace the losing concept called "majority
rule".
- Where
we'll find virtually inexhaustible resources that allow
everyone to share and live abundantly.
- A
process where it would just take just 3000 committed people
to begin
the transformation of this planet.
- How
eliminating nonessential jobs and products will also
help end our vicious cycle of work/stress/exhaustion/over-consumption/debt.
- Truly
successful recycling and inventive measures such as
organic food production and edible landscaping, innovative
community
design and other new paradigms designed to protect Earth
and our lives.
