Your
Host...

Bernie Ahearn has led, by any definition, a varied and
multifaceted life. Radio host, seminar presenter, ace salesman,
corporate consultant, marketing expert, spokesman, actor, narrator,
and entrepreneur
are just a few of the many professional identities he has fulfilled
throughout his diverse career.
The only son in a family of seven children, Ahearn lost
his father at the age of seven, an experience he cites as being pivotal
in his personal development. Made “the man of the family”
at this early age, Ahearn acquired a powerful drive for success and
achievement, which first found its outlet in a professional capacity.
The founder of a half-dozen businesses, Ahearn distinguished himself
across a broad range of industries and professional endeavors, twice
having received national recognition as “Salesman Of The Year”
before turning his attentions and talents to broadcasting and public
speaking.
As a participant and facilitator of a men’s discussion
group for over fourteen years, Ahearn became keenly attuned to issues
of importance to men - most significantly, the broad spectrum of concerns
which found little or no outlet in the existing media. Years of personal
study and exploration led him to the conclusion that an overwhelming
range of challenges facing American men were creating dire consequences
not only for men themselves, but for women, their families, and society
as a whole. As a means of beginning a dialogue on these issues, he created
and hosted “Weekend With Bernie,” a radio program heard
on Detroit’s WIUR-AM radio. That program’s success led him
to create “A Man’s World,” a program designed to address
similar themes while being designed for a broader national market.
Bernie Ahearn received his Bachelor of Science in Economics
and Business Administration (cum laude) from the University of Detroit.
In addition, he is a veteran of the U.S. Army, where he was an honors
graduate of their Communications Specialist training program. He also
is a psycholinguistics graduate of the McGrane Self-Esteem Institute.
Bernie Ahearn works in metropolitan Detroit,
Michigan. He awakes and greets each new day looking out from his
second-floor balcony onto beautiful Sylvan Lake in Keego Harbor, Michigan.
